Third letter: to the angel of Pergamon

Revelation 2: 12-17

To the angel of the community of Pergamon write: These things says he which has the sword, the two-edged, the sharp:

He that has an ear, hear what the Spirit says to the communities : To him that overcomes I give of the manna, the hidden, and I give him a white touchstone, and on the stone written a new name, which no man knows save he that receives it.

I know where you dwell, where is satan’s throne, and you hold fast my Name, and do not deny my faith; even not in those days wherein Antipas lived, my witness, my faithful, who was slain among you, where satan dwells.

Turn your inclination around! And if not, I will come to you quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

But I have a few things against you: you have among you those that hold the doctrine of Bilaam, who taught Balac to toss temptations before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrified to idols and to commit fornication. You also have them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I also hate.

To the angel of the community of Pergamon write: These things says he which has the sword, the two-edged, the sharp:

Ik weet waar je woont, waar satans troon is, en je houdt vast aan mijn Naam, en je verloochent niet mijn geloof. Ook niet in de dagen, toen Antipas er nog was, mijn getuige, mijn getrouwe, die gedood is bij jullie, waar de satan woont.

But I have a few things against you: you have among you those that hold the doctrine of Bilaam, who taught Balac to toss temptations before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrified to idols and to commit fornication. You also have them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I also hate.

Turn your inclination around! And if not, I will come to you quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

He that has an ear, hear what the Spirit says to the communities : To him that overcomes I give of the manna, the hidden, and I give him a white touchstone, and on the stone written a new name, which no man knows save he that receives it.
