First letter: to the angel of Ephesus

Revelation 2: 1-7

To the angel of the community of Ephesus write: this says he that holds the seven stars in his right, who walks in the midst of the seven candlesticks, the golden:

He that has an ear, hear what the Spirit says to the communities: To him that overcomes I will give to eat from the Tree of Life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

I know your works, and your labor, and your patience, and that you can not bear evil and put to the test them which say they are apostles , and are not, and has found them liars. And you have persevered and endured for my Name’s sake and are not tired out.

But, this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

Nevertheless, I have against you: that you have left your first love! Remember therefore, from where you have fallen, and turn your inclination around, and act again like before. Or else, I will come unto you and tear your candlestick out of its place, in case your inclination is not reversed.
