The view of the heavenly throne

Revelation 4: 1 – 11

After this I looked, and, behold, a door opened in heaven, and behold, the voice, that first one, which I had heard talking to me as a trumpet, said: Rise upward, and I will show you things which must be hereafter!

You are worthy, O Lord, our God, to recieve as part of your being, glory, honor and world power: for you have created all things , and your will gave it existence and shape.

Immediately I was in the spirit. And behold, a throne rose in heaven, and on the throne one sitting, and the sitting with an appearance like a jasper and a sardine, and an aureole round about the throne looking like an emerald stone, and round about the throne thrones, four and twenty. And on the thrones four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment , and on their heads crowns of gold, and out of the throne proceeds lightning , voice and thundering. And seven torches of fire burning before the throne , which are the seven Spirits of God.

And when the living beings continously bring glory, honor and thank-offering to him that is seated on the throne and lives from aeons to aeons, so fall the four and twenty elders down before him which is seated on the throne, and worship him which lives from aeons to aeons, and cast their crowns before the throne and say:

And before the throne a sea of glass, like crystal, and in the midst of the throne and round about the throne four living beings full of eyes, before and behind. And the first living being like a lion, and the second living being like a cow, and the third living being with a face like a man, and the fourth living being like an eagle flying. And the four living beings, each of them, have six wings round all sides, and are full of eyes inside and outside, and they rest not, nor during day nor during night, and say continuously: Holy, holy, holy, Lord God, Almighty , which was, and which is and which is to come.
